Different combinations may work but for me, this is how I made it. The result was amazing Italian sausage.

• 1¹/₂ pounds of Italian sausage with the casing removed
• 2 tables spoons of olive oil
• 1 large onion, diced
• Red paper flakes
• 2 minces cloves garlic
• 1 can of 28 ounce cashed tomatoes
• A pinch of salt to taste
• 1 pound of cooked pasta, preferably pappardelle pasta
• Parmesan cheese and fresh basil to serve.

Method of preparation

1. Warm olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat
2. Gently add the Italian sausage and the cook until they turn brown. As the sausage cook crumble them with a wooden spoon
3. Remove the cooked sausage from the pan.
4. Reduce used oil from the pan to just about 2 table spoon
5. Set the stove to medium heat then return the pan.
6. Add the onions and garlic. Cook until the onions turns translucent, that’s about 4 to 6 minutes
7. Return the sausages that were set aside to the pan.
8. Add tomatoes and red pepper flakes. Also add a pinch of salt to taste.
9. Reduce Bolognese sauce to half by cooking over medium high temperature for about 7 minutes.
10. Finally, add the cooked pasta the pan and then mix gently with the Bolognese sauce.
11. Serve with fresh basil and cheese.
